作曲:すかくの
Time, by its very nature, moves only forward and cannot be turned back. Once it has gone, it does not return. Cry out for it to come back; stand in its path, blocked by regret— still time slips past between one’s legs like the wind, and is gone. Call this the impermanence of all things; call it the ceaseless flowing of the river— such words are empty. Those we would cherish in memory, the lingering regrets that remain, all in time dissolve and vanish, as though they had never been. There is no use now in telling tales of what once was. And yet— whether it be only a trick of the ear— borne upon the wind there comes the clash of warriors’ blades, the alluring dance of a beautiful princess, a sound not easily forgotten. Now I would do no more than drift upon the faint trembling of the wind, and, upon my closed eyelids, summon the phantom of a lingering fragrance.
