I wrote this song from the image of the work "道成寺 鷺娘 (Dojoji-Sagimusume [1929])" by 鏑木清方(Kaburaki Kiyokata 1878-1972), who was a Japanese traditional paint (Ukiyoe) artist, especially dedicated for drawing beautiful lady (Bijinga). This work was originally from the story of "Dojoji-Sagimusume", such that one Egret becomes a human girl, and fall in love with human man, finally end up with bad end. What I tried to express in this song the most was that the Egret, who became a girl, chose to and finally achieved to struggle out of her egoism and died quietly by herself without even touching a bit (even by her tip of nail), which is actually different story from the original, but I thought the story could be a beautiful story by changing the scenario as such, and her ending is somewhat saved.
